A uniquely talented youth player, Kevin Grogan was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United in 1998 just before playing a major role for the Ireland Under-16 national team, on their way to becoming European Champions. While anchoring the midfield, Grogan played a pivotal role in the success of the Irish team. Sir Alex Ferguson rated the young Irishman highly and by the time he turned 17 Grogan was training with the likes of David Beckham and Ryan Giggs in Manchester United’s first team.
A series of injuries stopped Kevin from making the breakthrough and in the summer of 2001 he left Manchester United. After a long battle with his injury it seemed his football career would be revived when he joined Millwall F.C. in 2003. Unfortunately, his injury returned and Kevin was forced to retire.
Kevin lives in New York City.
